Honda has launched the 2024 City Hatchback that is available with hybrid and turbo powertrain choices coming with added features for the new model year.

While the top hybrid model is the City e:HEV RS priced at Bt799,000, Honda has introduced a lower-spec e:HEV SV variant that is priced at Bt729,000.

The turbo models now come with Honda SENSING and are priced from Bt599,000 to Bt749,000. The City Hatchback turbo SV comes with a new chrome front grille, front and rear bumpers and 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels. There’s also new seat upholstery comprising of black leather and synthetic leather with gray stripes.

The City e:HEV RS variant features a sporty exterior trim with black front grille, sporty front and rear bumper, side spoiler and rear spoiler, LED headlights and foglamps, 16-inch sports wheels and red stripes on the seat upholstery.

There’s a new 8-inch center screen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto (plus two rear Type-C USB ports), while the Honda SENSING package now includes Low-Speed Follow and Lead Car Departure Notification System.

According to Honda, the e:HEV system combines the powerful performance of two electric motors with a 1.5-liter Atkinson Cycle DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder, 16-valve engine, mated to an E-CVT (Electrical Continuously Variable Transmission), capable of producing maximum system torque output of 253Nm. The fuel economy is claimed at 27.8 km/l while CO2 emission is 85 g/km.

Meanwhile, the 1.0L 3-cylinder, 12-valve, DOHC VTEC TURBO engine delivers a maximum output of 122 horsepower 5,500 rpm and maximum torque of 173 Nm from 2,000-4,500 rpm. Mated to a CVT, the engine provides a fuel economy of 23.3 km/l and a CO2 emission of 100 g/km.
