With the automobile market remaining stagnant, organizers of the 46th Bangkok International Motor Show are expecting a growth of 10 per cent compared to 2024.
In 2024, 58,611 orders were placed for automobiles and motorcycles, while 1.6 million visitors came to the show.
A total of 54 brands (41 automobile and 13 motorcycle) will be participating in this year’s event at Muangthongthani from March 26 to April 6.
A large number of new models, including electric cars and motorcycles, will be launched at the show. In addition, there will also be a large used car section as well as 9,000-sqm area for aftermarket accessories.
Presently there is concern for the Thai auto market because even though there is demand for new and used cars, the Thai economy has not shown clear signs of recovery while finance companies are strict in approving loans due to the high level of Thai household debt.
