Thailand will be the first country in the world to launch the right-hand-drive version of the MG IM6 e-SUV, which is imported from China.
First shown at the Motor Expo late last year, the RHD IM6 will be officially launched for the Thai market next month, according to distributor MG Sales (Thailand) Co Ltd.

The new model from MG is a collaboration between three giant corporations namely SAIC Motor Corp (MG’s parent company), Zhangjiang Hi-Tech and Alibaba Group.
According to MG, the IM6 will come with advanced drive features, digitally-controlled suspension as well as AI safety technology.

An 800-volt electric platform featuring newly-developed battery allows for super-quick charging (396kW DC) and provides sporty performance. Acceleration from 0-100km/h takes 5.4 secs while the top speed is 235km/h.

The IM6 was first introduced at the 2024 Geneva Auto Show and within the first 12 hours more than 6,000 orders were placed, and by November sales rocketed to 61,450 units.
