Former Great Wall Motor Thailand managing director Narong Sritalayon has been appointed as the CEO of Thonburi Neustern, the official importer and distributor of Geely automobiles in Thailand.

Narong is also a former Ford Thailand executive for 17 years before his four-year tenure at Great Wall Motor Thailand. The Thai executive will be responsible for setting the direction, strategy and operations for sales, marketing and after-sales service, dealer network, including branding of Geely electric vehicles (EV) in Thailand, effective from February 1, 2025.

Thonburi Neustern has already secured 22 dealers with a goal of establishing 30 showrooms and service centers in Thailand within 2025.

In 2024, Geely Holding Group achieved remarkable results globally, with 2.17 million units sold, up 32 per cent compared to 2023. Of those, 403,923 units were sold in overseas markets, up 53 per cent.

 In addition, the Group’s new energy vehicle (NEV) sales also grew strongly, with a total of 888,235 NEVs sold in 2024, up 92 per cent

The Chinese automaker has a global sales target of 2.71 million vehicles in 2025.
